  • Red Barn Oak Retreat is located in Comfort, Texas, in the heart of Texas Hill Country—just minutes from historic downtown Comfort and a short scenic drive to Fredericksburg, wineries, shopping, and local attractions.

  • Our retreat is ideal for family vacations, family reunions, friends getaways, small business retreats, special events, and group gatherings looking for a private Hill Country experience.

  • Yes. Guests can reserve The Pecan House, The Mulberry, or book both properties together for larger groups, retreats, reunions, or events.

  • There is a small Lowes supermarket located on High Street in Comfort. If you are looking for a larger grocery store, there is an HEB located in Boerne ( # miles), Kerrville (# miles), Fredericksburg (# miles). Currently none of these HEB locations deliver to our area.

  • The Pecan House has a washing machine and dryer for guest use.

  • Yes. Red Barn Oak Retreat is a wonderful setting for small events, family celebrations, reunions, workshops, and curated gatherings.

  • Yes! The limit is 1 dog up to 50lbs per stay per unit (2 dogs if whole property rented). There is a $100 fee per dog per night. Please review the pet policy before booking.

  • Yes. Both properties include free WiFi, making it easy to stay connected while enjoying your retreat.

  • Guests are close to Comfort’s boutiques, wineries, restaurants, live music, outdoor activities, and day trips to Fredericksburg and other Hill Country destinations.
